I’m just in such a wonderful mood today. In an hour I will be finished with all my classes and thus will begin the highlight of every college student’s year: SPRING BREAK.
I have done very well on all of my midterms, so to reward myself I ordered a celebratory pair of Chacos (on sale of course, because I am the queen of online shopping). They are blue and green, which are possibly the most wonderful colors ever. I am too excited.
For break I’m going up to my friend E’s house and then to her cabin in the mountains for a few days. I am wilderness woman extraordinaire, so I could not be more excited. Then later next week she’s coming to my house and we are going to do very mature adult things like eat cheesecake and watch Disney movies. I think my plans are glorious, and certainly beat going to the beach and getting drunk with 87392874 other college kids. I will miss my other college friends, but many of them are going to NYC on a mission trip (So jealous) and E and I are two of the few left in our group not going. So we’re going to party hard.
However, I think I might be most excited about my end of spring break plans. On Friday I will make roughly 100 cookies, because Saturday is eight hour dress rehearsal for my high school theatre department. They are putting on The Wizard of Oz. It might be a cliché show, but I’ve already been to a rehearsal and I’m ecstatic to see how it turns out. Anyways, I have mentally adopted most of the kids in the department. I refer to them as my children and bake for them when they have long rehearsals. The best part is they love me almost as much as I love them. The term “theatre family” is certainly appropriate for us.
Also, Miracle League starts up next weekend, and you need to look it up if you don’t know what it is. I don’t have the time right now to explain the greatness of this organization. I will try to expand on that later.
I cannot wait to document this weekend’s adventures. More to come soon, but I gotta go
social network take notes in class.
